Coffee Cream Cheese Hazelnut Cake

I juz came back from my in-law's place! We went home to celebrate her birthday yesterday. I made a simple birthday cake for her....it's a combination of non-baked coffee cream cheese filling and hazelnut sponge cake. Actually, this is my first trial and have no idea how it looks like; not untill they blow the candles and then slice the thing out!

Ingredients for Hazelnut Cake :
(A)
4 egg white
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tspn cream of tartar
(B)
4 egg yolk
1/2 cup superfine flour
50ml milk
1 tspn vanilla essence
3 tbsp oil
1-1/2 tbsp ground hazelnut (roasted)
Method :

- beat all ingredients (B) untill well mixed and fluffy.
- whisk all ingredients (A) untill peak foam.
- fold mixture (A) into mixture (B) untill well combine.
- pour batter into a 9" tray and bake for 30mins at 180'c.
- leave cool then divide into 3 portion.
Ingredients for Coffee Cream cheese :

250gm cream cheese
70gm icing sugar
300gm whip cream
1 tbps gelatine
1/4 cup hot coffee

Method :

- combine sugar and cream cheese and mix well.
- combine gelatine and hot coffee untill mixed.
- beat cream cheese mixture, whip cream and gelatine mixture untill combined.
- sandwich the cake layers with cream cheese mixture in a cake ring.
- chill the cake for 4 hours or overnight.
- then decorate the cake as desire.
Ta...da...Here's my in-law's birthday cake. A lovely simple one!
Wow....a really satisfying result! Luckily, I didn't mess up the party....he he ! The whole family likes it very much. Not to mention my kids, they juz love it and ask me to make another one when we got back. So glad that it's such a good respond from all of them! I'll keep up the good work. I promise myself I will!
