Pickled Ginger Thin Crust Pizza 酸姜比萨饼
Something to tune on your mood today ! haha.... Oh yeah, my thin crust pizza with homemade pickled ginger. How do you like that !!! Well, don't blame me if you put on some weight lately. >o< I'm not sure about you guys but I will definitely add on extra pickled ginger on my pizza. This is my first attempt trying something west & east thing on my pizza. I love anything yeasted and also anything pickled, and this is mine kind of thing. Hope you will like it too ! Please read on for more.
I made a large size pizza from this recipe itself and flattened it out thinly by rolling pin. don't worry about the edge. Just fold them inward will do to form a perfect circle.
Ingredients for topping :
2 tomatoes, sliced
2 hard boiled eggs, roughly chopped
some pickled ginger, quantity as desired
crushed black peppercorn
1-1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
Ingredients for bread dough :
350gm bread flour
150gm all purpose flour
1 TB sugar
1/2 tspn salt
2 tspn yeast
280ml warm full cream milk
2 TB corn oil
Method :
(1) mix together warm milk & yeast and let to rest for 10 minutes, add in oil once its ready.
(2) combine flour, sugar & salt into a big bowl then mix well.
(3) now, stir the wet ingredients into flour till smooth dough is formed. Then let to rest for an hour or till double in size.
(4) next, punch dough to release excess air and knead till smooth.
(5) place dough to working table and divide into two portions, let to rest for another 15 minutes.
(6) now, flatten dough into round size.
(7) now, place shaped dough to a slightly flour parchment paper. Then spread on mayonnaise and then top with tomatoes, hard boiled egg and pickled ginger.
(8) finally, top with extra mozzarella cheese and sprinkle on some black peppercorn.
(9) and then go straight to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes at 230-250'C to till the bread is nicely brown.
Another fantastic simple combination of pizza and hard boiled egg is my all time favourite thing.
Another killer indeed ! I wonder anyone tried pickled ginger on your pizza before ??? Does it sound weird to you ? haha.... Oh well, Domino has kaya banana pizza and it sounds weird as well. But it was pretty yummy actually. >o<
I really need to make another one soon..... very soon ! Enjoy guys. Happy baking !
