Sticky Glutinous Rice
In Thailand, sticky glutinous rice normally will serve with mango and coconut milk. But in Malaysia, mostly will use sticky glutinous rice to make 'Pulut Tekan' and will serve with kaya jam. 'Pulut Tekan' also meaning as press glutinous rice. For me, I always looking for an easy way to make things simple as possible. So, this is what happened!
Ingredients :
200gm glutinous rice (washed and soaked for 3-4 hours)
100ml water
90ml coconut milk (santan)
1/4 tspn salt
1/4 tspn pandan essence
Method :
- combined all ingredients in a tray.
- then steam for 15 mins or untill cooked.
- add in a few drops of green colouring and stir to mix 1/3 of the rice.
- leave to slightly cool.
- and wrap it with small plastic bags.
